Have you heard of this words on “Don’t Cry Over The Spilled Milk“? If you heard this simple phrase of words before, do you really understand the meaning and take into practise yourself. Recently, I have heard this phrase from my one of my colleagues and it suddenly kicks into my mind so that why I decided to write a post on this phrase of words. What actually caused my colleague to say those words were because I was thinking of ways to recover something that we had already thrown away and he felt that it is meaningless trying to spend the time to recover the item when it has already been like that. After thinking through what he said, I realised it is true that we sometimes are wasting our time crying over unnecessary spilled milk in our life.

Most of us should know the meaning straight from the phrase “Don’t Cry Over The Spilled Milk” as it simply means do not bother over things that has happened. Here’s the exact meaning that I got from wikitionary: “It is no use worrying about unfortunate events which have already happened and which cannot be changed.” Therefore, I felt it is important for us to start to think about the things that are keeping on pondering in our minds and go through them one by one on a piece of paper (ensure we are clear of what we are thinking at any point of time) to see whether are we crying over spilled milk. If the incident that has happened before us and is really unavoidable, why should we keep on thinking about it and wasting our brain juice while we can process better thoughts at that particular moment of time.

What I have learned from this phase of words is to understand the problem and determine whether is it worth my energy to go through it, if it is not, I should continue moving forward with other tasks that need my attentions more in order to achieve what I want in my journey to success. Let’s all start to practise putting this phrase of words into our mind by reminding ourselves “Don’t Cry Over The Spilled Milk.” I do believe it will create a significant improvement in your thinking progress as lesser ineffective thoughts were

Comfort Zone Stretch

Comfort Zone Stretch

It’s been quite a while since my last update as I have been quite busy recently due to the big decision and comfort zone stretch that I have done on myself. Firstly, I have to update some good news regarding my internet marketing effort as I have break the point of consistent 2 figure income to 3 figure instead. My second site that I least expect to make money starts to generate some sales and my 1st site boasted in traffic and caused more sales to come in. Although the good news came in, I am still not quite satisfied with myself as I feel that my growth seems to be quite slow. This caused me to go through quite a while of low mood period as I find myself progressing too slowly already as I have started doing internet marketing for quite some time already. Therefore, I start to think of alternatives to ways to grow myself and build more passive income.

What actually comes to my mind is going for commission based jobs like becoming a real estate agent or insurance agent that will help to build more income for myself so that I can use that money to invest into building a system for generating more passive income. Personally, I start to have a love for real estate and wants to find out more about the details of those big beautiful houses that I always sees in the movies. Therefore, I decided to take up the real estate agent course instead and learn why the rich want to acquire some money assests. My course has already started and it falls on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday after my work. Personally, I do believe that learning how to sell is an important aspect in my journey to success and one of my plans  is to join a local toastmaster club once I have passed the real estate agent test and managed to join into the real estate company. On the other hand, I will still continue to build my affiliate sites and hope to make more income from it so that it can support my marketing effort for my future real estate business.

Next, I have also signed up Robert Kiyosaki’s rich dad coaching course and hope that the rich dad coach will be able to hold me accountable for my goals and plans that I have toward building a financial freedom lifestyle. Let’s see how things will go as I start to feel the comfort zone stretch in myself after making all the above moves. Personally, I feel that all the above things will help me grow but there’s so many self doubts and negativity about investing my money into all these courses do make me worry about the plan. However, what I believe I can do is keep on moving forward and one day I will definitely reach the point I want to achieve. Do look out for my updates along my journey to success. May success be with you too.

Strategies For Learning That Is Needed

My Jersey with Birthday 24

Today I am going to post about my recent soccer game experience that I have with my colleagues. As you can see from the above jersey, we are prepared with our own jersey with our favourite number. 24 is my birth date as I have mentioned in my about me section and this is the first time I got my own jersey with my name printed behind it. This really makes you feel excited and wanted to play well with your own name. Anyway, back to the main topic that I wanted to discuss here in my blog post, the title of this post is called “Strategies For Learning That Is Needed” and it is actually based on what I have learnt from the soccer game that I played.

Last Saturday, our working school took part in the east zone healthy lifestyle day and I was told to participate in a 7-a-side soccer game. Initially, I didn’t know there is any plan for the game and what I was told was to buy a jersey which is the one you saw above. I was quite delighted when I received the jersey as it was my favourite team “Manchester United” colour and I get to choose my own printed number and  name. When I arrived at the sport event, I was surprised when our team captain actually went through a thinking discussion about how they are going to play the soccer game. Previously, I have played with the teachers before with another school but there wasn’t a plan on how we were going to play but this time round, the team captain was a different person and he seemed to be quite good at planning strategies. We listened to what he was saying and where he positioned the team players based on their known previous position and strength. There were a total of 11 teams and we were divided into two groups with one side having 6 teams and another side 5 teams. We were in the 6 teams side and we have to face 5 matches in order to go to the semi finals. Each match last 5 minutes and we have to score as many goals as possible. First match, we draw at 0-0 with another team and the team captain actually made a change of positions for the players for the second match as he felt we need more people who can run forward. With the change of positions, our team starts to score goals from second match onwards and in the end, we managed to win the title and come in 1st place.

It is a long time since my last sports event that has a trophy and I was quite delighted about winning it as a team. From the game itself, I tends to learn about the importance of having a strategies in mind first before you carry out any tasks as you will know better what to expect from it. Therefore, I felt strategies for learning is very important in whatever things we do and we must have a plan to win as you don’t plan to fail but never fail to plan.

Here’s the trophy that we won:

My Trip to Thailand

Posted by JavierChua in

It’s been quite a long time since my last update on my personal blog as I have been busy preparing for my trip to Thailand in March and sorting out my personal thoughts in myself. The reason why I decided to go to Thailand for a visit was because I won a complimentary stay at a resort in Chiang Mai called Baae Sae Moi through one of the online survey I did in the previous year. My trip to Thailand consist of a 5 days trip to both Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Before the trip to Thailand, I was quite worried as there’s a natural disaster happened in Japan somewhere in mid March. Luckily, it did not affect Thailand as it was quite far away.

My trip to Bangkok let me realized that the air in Singapore is much better as we have a better traffic system with lesser traffic jam. When I first arrived in Bangkok, we were faced by it’s traffic jam when we were going to our hotel which is about an hour ride away from the airport. The clothings over there were really very cheap and they were selling in bulk which means that you have to buy in bulk in order to get it for a cheaper price (no wonder there’s a lot of people getting their goods from Bangkok to sell in Singapore). They would give you a cheaper price if you are able to buy more. However, I only bought 3 pieces of clothings for myself as I am not those people who likes to buy a lot of clothings as I know my shared cupboard with my brother won’t be able to contain so much. Haha.

Anyway, I was quite surprised to hear the local tour guide that we engaged saying that there were over 40,000 temples in Thailand and I did went to see a few Buddhas in Bangkok. One particular Buddha was made in real Gold and it cost about 100 over millions to make it and got one is a 15m long sleeping style Buddha. There’s really a lot of different style over there in Thailand and our trip in Bangkok were mainly going to those temples, tailor shops and their well-known gem factory. Initially, we were quite reluctant to sit on their Tuk-Tuk as we have heard stories about how much they will charge overseas tourists. However, we met a security guard who told us the rough estimate pricing we can demand before taking the Tuk-Tuk and it started our ride on the Tuk-Tuk. The ride on the Tuk-Tuk was really an exciting trip as the driver know how to take short cuts through the streets and shorten the distance to your destination. However, I can say that it was not really advisable to keep on sitting in a Tuk-Tuk to travel around as the pollution level on the road was really pretty bad. One thing that I realized about the traffic road was that there were not much traffic lights for pedestrian and you really have to find an overhead bride or perform those jay-walking across the road like those locals.

Take a look at some of the photos:

On day 2 night after our day-tour in Bangkok, we wanted to rest awhile in our hotel before going to watch the lady-boy show, we encountered a slight tremor in our hotel room. We were staying on the 20th floor and we hurried rushed down to the lobby to find out what was happening. To add on to our panic mode, we heard fire engine and ambulance rushing by our hotel to the next few building. We were told that there were a fire going on at one of the shopping malls but the receptionists had no ideas about the earthquake tremors at all. We went ahead with a worried heart to watch the lady-boy show and it was a really great show that shouldn’t be missed as my worried was gone once the show started. We managed to get a discount on the tickets through our tour agent and if you intend to watch it when you are going to Bangkok, make sure you buy your ticket through the local tour agency.

After watching the show, we went back to our hotel and find out more about the earthquake tremor that we felt previously but we were not able to get a definite answer. We decided to go back to our hotel to find out more through the news and we found that there were an earthquake happened in Myanmar which is near to Chiang Rai (somewhere in Thailand too). This caused some panic as our next day destination was to go to Chiang Mai. Lucky, the resort personnel gave me her cell phone number and we made a phone call to her to check the condition over at her side. We were told not to worry as their resort were all low rise building and there were no seas near their resort too as they were surrounded by big mountains.

When we reached Chiang Mai, we realized there were a big difference in terms of pace over there. Everything seems so peaceful and slow pace compared to Bangkok or Singapore. The air over there were much better and fresher with lesser traffic. However, we didn’t have much activities when we reached our resort as the location was quite secluded. We asked our resort manager, Aoy about what we can do over there and booked our next day tour package to the elephant camp. Over there at the elephant camp, I managed to complete another bucket list of mine which is to have an elephant ride. The day tour package consisted of bamboo rifting ride, watching elephant drawing plus show, sit on the elephant, taking a ride on ox cart, going to orchid plus butterfly farm and our buffet lunch. The ride on the elephant was quite fun as it was an experience that you can’t describe in words as it was quite shaky but enjoyable.

Take a look at the photos:

Overall, I enjoyed my stay in Thailand and know a few great people over there such as the resort manager and the chiang mai taxi driver. It is pretty hard to catch a taxi or tuk tuk in Chiang Mai than in Bangkok so make sure you get the stuff to get one for you through booking. If you want to see more photos about my trip, do add me as friend through facebook. I will stop my post right here and if you have a chance, do visit Thailand and update me your experience too.

Jigsaw Puzzle Way of Planning Your Life

Posted by JavierChua in

Recently, I have been going through an internet business mastery podcast and they have been emphasizing the importance of a definite major purpose in life. Something like what is the main thing you want to achieve in your lifetime so that it can be a guiding force towards your life journey. Personally, I have been thinking about it and to make things simpler to understand, I have came out with my own understanding of life through the theory of fixing up a jigsaw puzzle.

I do not know whether you have personally tried to fix up a 1000 pieces jigsaw puzzle before but I do. It is really a test of patience to slowly put all the pieces together. However, before you try to fix up any jigsaw puzzle (no matter how big the size is), you will need to have a main concept of what picture you are trying to fix up. If you do not know what picture you are trying to put together, you will definitely have a hard time figuring out which piece of the jigsaw puzzle to be put together with. This theory of fixing up a jigsaw puzzle follows the rules of planning our life too as we need to know what are the things we want to achieve in our life first by creating a visual image of our desired lifestyle as the big picture that we want to form. Once we know what is the big picture that we are trying to form, we can start to put all the individual pieces together by seeing which piece should come in next in our life. Therefore, I will encourage anyone who is reading this blog post to start thinking about what is the big picture they want in life by asking yourself a few of the following questions.

– What is your definite major purpose in life?
– What is your desired lifestyle that I want to achieve?
– What are the things you want to do before you die?

You can think it through and ask yourself more detailed questions so that you will get your big picture faster. Try to ask quality questions so that you will get quality answers through your own heart. Remember to always refer to your big picture when you are facing any decision problems and see whether it fit into your desired picture.

Enounce MySpeed Review – Watch Video at a Faster Pace

Posted by JavierChua in

Are you a speed reader in reading books? If you are, you probably like to grab ideas fast and want to save time. Personally, I started speed reading in year 2009 and found the importance of learning speed reading through my friend. Didn’t really realized that speed reading is so good until I see the benefits of time save and the amount of stuff I learn throughout the short period of time.

Check Out Enounce MySpeed Software Here!

Recently, I was listening to an internet marketing podcast and I was surprised that there was actually a software that allow speed watching of videos at a faster pace. The name of the software was called Enounce MySpeed and what it did is to let you watch flash videos on any website at a faster or slower pace from 0 to 5x the speed based on your own adjustment. After checking out the website, I went to download the 7 days trial version of the software. I was thinking whether to buy the software after the 7 days trial as it cost about 30  bucks. One disadvantage about the software was it only allows you to watch flash videos at a faster speed which means almost all kind of videos online. On the other hand, those training or seminar videos that I have on my computer that are in other file format such as wmv, avi, mp4 and etc will not be able to watch at a faster pace through the software unless I go and convert them into flash format. Anyway, I did not convert the file format of all my videos on my computer and went to find for alternative solution to the problem. I found a solution through my friend and realized that we can actually use this free software called VLC player to play offline videos of any format at a faster pace. Therefore, I managed to solve the problem of watching offline videos at a faster pace and I was able to re-watch all my training and seminar videos at a faster pace which save up a lot of my time as I am able to grab the ideas through repeated watching. When i mentioned about time save through watching it a faster pace, what I actually mean is that when you watch the video at twice the speed for an one hour video, you will only take half an hour to finish watching it. Just imagine how much time is saved when you have a lot of videos to re-watch again.

Although VLC player is able to allow you to watch offline and online video at twice the speed, it does not allow online videos that are stored inside a training portal. In the end, I went ahead to purchase the Enounce MySpeed software and has already been using it with great delight as I was able to filter out a lot of training videos online with a much shorter time especially those product launch videos that teaches you their methods of doing things online to make money. Personally, I will definitely recommend anyone who want to be more productive with their time spend on watching training videos online with the use of Enounce MySpeed software. If you are interested about the software, go check out through my affiliate links and give the software a try for 7 days. No matter whether you are buying the software or not, I think you must really give it a try to see whether it is useful for your own learning growth.

Check Out Enounce MySpeed Software Here!

Previously, I was thinking whether is there any way I can finish watching those training videos within a shorter time frame when I was trying to repeat watching the same thing again to grab a better concept of the ideas shown. It seems that my wish has come true through the help of law of attraction as I manage to know this great software through the recommendation of some great internet marketer. I will stop my post here and hope this software that I recommend today can help you in your own journey to success too.

P.S. Based on FTC rules, I have to inform you that if you are to buy through any of my affiliate links, I will be making a small portion  commission as referral person but don’t need to worry as it will not affect your use of this great software 🙂

Ezine Articles #HAHD Challenge: 100 Articles in 100 Days Challenge

Posted by JavierChua in
100 Articles in 100 Days Challenge

5th Ezine Articles #HAHD Challenge Prizes

Recently, I have received my second #HAHD (hundred article in hundred days) challenge award from Ezine Articles directory based on the recent 100 articles in 100 days challenge that I have took part. This is the second time I have signed up for the contest and so far I have received 3 packages from Ezine Articles directory already. One of the packages is about congratulating me becoming a platinum member on their article directory and the other two are the past two #HAHD article challenges (4th & 5th) that I have took up. Based on my experience with EzineArticles, I can see that they have put up a lot of effort to create a good experience with their viewers by going through all the articles send in by authors and on the other hand, giving away gifts to award authors who put in the effort in their hundred article challenge.

Recently, I have been reading Steven Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and there’s a concept of going for win-win or no deal. From the way EzineArticles set a strict standard for their authors (publishers) to follow, this ensure that all publishers are publishing original content with minimum errors which will hence provide a good place for viewers (readers) to find out more. On the other hand, the original content allows EzineArticles directory to rank better in search engine as there is a flow of fresh content going through the network and if the articles are ranking well in search engine, it will thus provide good traffic for those authors who have submitted those articles. If you think through it, this provide a win-win-win situation for the article directory, readers and authors.

Just imagine if EzineArticles is not setting a standard in the first place, it will not have become an article directory with a high page rank and so much traffic entering the site. EzineArticles directory has been ranked the number 1 article directory by most internet marketer and this actually bring me back to a bollywood movie that I have watched recently (The 3 idiots) that mentioned this memorable quote: “Pursue excellence, and success will follow.”

Cheers

Javier

P.S. Anyway, those past 2 #HAHD award that I have achieved are through my pen names in some of the niches and maybe one day I should start writing to promote this blog too.

P.P.S. Just hope EzineArticles will provide more varieties of gifts for its upcoming #HAHD challenge so that it will motivate writers to write more to get the gifts.

Great Books That I Have Read in Year 2010

Posted by JavierChua in

Year 2010 is a great year for me as I started the habit of reading more massively after watching Jim Rohn’s seminar as he asked a question in his seminar about if you are going to change your life, how many books have you read in the past 90 days. This question has pushed me to start thinking about my future and the lifestyle I want to achieve. If I really want to see the change in my life, I really have to expose myself to a greater and broader mindset thinking and the place to go is to read those books that people had wrote about the things I want to achieve in life. We all have to start seeing through the author’s viewpoint about the world and exposed ourselves to their ideas in order to really open our eyes to a bigger picture. Year 2010 is the start of year that I started reading books massively and if I will to compare the books I have read in year 2010 with other previous years, I can say that I have read a lot as usually I don’t read so many books in a year. Anyway, one of my goals in year 2010 is to read at least 15 books but I have exceed that goal without even adding the amount of audio books I listen to and the ebooks that I have read.

Here’s the list of books I have read in the year of 2010

My 5th Year Anniversary in Malacca

Posted by JavierChua in

Happy New Year to everyone who is visiting this blog. Year 2009 has ended and a new year has started. I was pretty excited about this new year after my overseas trip to Malacca in Malaysia. I had a great trip with my girlfriend as we went to Malacca on 31 Dec 2010 and we were able to watch fireworks in our hotel room during the countdown to Year 2011. It was a memorable night as it was my first time seeing so many places putting on fireworks at the same time. The feeling was left, right and center of the night sky filled with fireworks which you can’t see it in Singapore. The trip was a great experience as I got to tell my girlfriend about my ultimate lifestyle plan and we also have more intimate talk about our plans for the future.

After seeing the private companies putting those fireworks, it makes me want to add another item into my bucket list for putting fireworks on my own too. During the trip, we didn’t just went sight-seeing but shopping, massage, jacuzzi and we also managed to catch Singapore Mediacorp TV couple artists (Pan Ling Ling with her husband) too. Too bad we didn’t manage to catch a photo with them.

Here’s the photos for my Malacca Trip:

Last year during my last year end trip to Macau & Hong Kong, I managed to make some income online and this year I managed to make some sales too. After seeing the small success, make me want to hit the real success like other affiliate marketer that I knew as I want to be able to pay for my trip through the income made while I was overseas. Let’s see how it goes for this year and hope it will be a great year ahead. Have fun and live your life with passion!

Cheers

Personal Success Achieved in Year 2010

Posted by JavierChua in

This is the second year that I am doing this year end review of what I have achieved in the year of 2010. As similar as last year 2009, this post is scheduled on 31 Dec 2010. Currently, I should be on my way to Malacca with my dear for a short trip to celebrate our 5th year anniversary on the 1st of Jan. By the time I am back in Singapore, I will be facing a new year with new challenges ahead of me.

The following are the personal successes that I am grateful and proud of achieving in the year of 2010:

– Learn Inline Skating at a cheaper cost (managed to get it through Law Of Attraction)

– Won a 2 Nights resort stay at Chiang Mai through online survey (Plan to go in march 2011)

– Got my driving license before the year ends

– Completed 16km, 21km and 42km marathons (learn about persistence)

– Start outsourcing my online work (able to see a significant improvement in work being done)

– First time visit Indonesia (Went to both Batam & Bintan Trip in April and August respectively)

– Read more than 20 books (greatest record so far in a year)

– Learn from Jim Rohn videos and started reading habits

– Able to meetup and learn from overseas affiliate friends

– Made consistent monthly income online (have to scale it up in upcoming year)

– Managed to get one of my sites up on first page of Google

– Start using mindmap software to plan (able to see a bigger picture)

– Realize the importance of lifestyle design & definite major purpose in life (from internet business mastery)

– Started the 21 days habit formation trial (manage to wake up earlier to do my stuff)

I have learned quite a lot of things along the journey of success in the year of 2010 and I feel that it is important for me to learn how to stay focus in order to see the results coming in. In the upcoming year, I will focus more on making more online sales and try to replace my JOB income with the online income. All the best to everyone including myself in the upcoming year 2011 and Happy New Year to you. I will update more after my trip from Malacca so do have fun in your journey of success too. See you in the year 2011 after this post.

Signing off from this year 2010,
Javier
